Company

A family history in the making

The La Madeleine winery nestles in the valley that rises from the village of Otricoli in the direction of Narni. The Tiber valley and the city of Ocriculum, with its ancient river port, are not far away. The Via Flaminia passes by, skirting an area steeped in history and traces of Roman civilization. We planted our vines here and grew them with passion, care and the help of expert friends.

This name, full of intense literary references, played a significant role in Linda and Massimo’s decision to embark on this new adventure together in later life but with an eye on their children’s future.

In 2021, Giulia, the eldest daughter of the D’Alema family, with a degree in economics and ten years of international experience in the fashion industry, decided to reinvent herself and run the company alongside her mother, Linda.

THE LAND & THE AREA

The unique characteristics of our territory

On a hill rising up to 180 meters above sea level, we find 15 hectares of land, about seven of which are vineyards, between Narni and Otricoli, in Umbria, the green heart of Italy.

The vines

Our varieties

The propensity of the medium-textured soil, which tends to be clayey and rich in rock fragments, and the personal taste of the producers made us decide to cultivate international varieties: Cabernet Franc, Tannat and Marselan.
